I guess it should be easy. Many hotels/public places upon connection to WIFI redirects to the their authorization site. So I guess WIFI can be set to authorize users utilizing codeforphilly.org account

But not everyone does! How do we keep track of how many people attended? How do we monitor how many new people show up a second time? To continue to build a great community, we need to be able to measure our progress.
It's not that people don't want to check-in; they forget to do it, or they can't remember their password, or they get busy. Let's make it easy and automatic!
Ideas
- When someone connects to the WiFi, automatically route them to the check-in page (like at a hotel)
- Remove the password requirement to check-in
- Setup a dedicated check-in computer near the door
- Don't let them leave until they check in
