About Me

Good defense in basketball stars is not always about making an aggressive steal or block. Sometimes the smartest decision is simply to stay in front of the opponent and prevent them from reaching a comfortable shooting position. Rushing toward every possible steal can create gaps that the attacker can exploit, particularly if the defensive move misses its target. Instead, players should watch the opponent's movement and look for patterns. If someone repeatedly approaches the basket from the same direction, you can prepare for that route and reduce their options. This makes defense a battle of anticipation rather than simple reaction speed. The longer you play, the more you may notice that preventing a good scoring opportunity can be just as valuable as successfully stealing the ball.
