Shari Shapiro
About Me
Shari Shapiro is the founder and president of Calliope Policy Advisers. She represents international companies, non-profits and trade associations in their state and local government affairs efforts, focusing on energy, environmental and building code policy. Shari is also an adjunct professor in the Drexel University’s Public Policy Master’s Degree program and a research affiliate with the University of Pennsylvania Program on Regulation (PPR). She has been on the leadership team for several academic research projects, most recently working on a project with PPR advising the Alberta Energy Regulator on improving regulatory performance.
Shari honed her writing and advocacy skills as a partner with the AmLaw200 firm Cozen O’Connor and a government relations professional with Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies. Prior to her legal career, Shari was a business strategy consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and a dot-com entrepreneur.
Shari publishes the award winning Green Building Law Blog covering environmental law and policy issues. In 2009, GBLB won the American Bar Association’s “Blawg 100″ for top law blogs, and was a LexisNexis Top 50 blog award winner. Green Building Law Blog is available at www.greenbuildinglawblog.com.
